[00:00:00] Speaker A: Well, I am on the phone with Charles Butler from Charles Butler and Trinity. How are you? [00:00:06] Speaker B: I am well. How are you, Randy? I'm good. [00:00:09] Speaker A: Long time no here. [00:00:10] Speaker B: I know it's been such a long time, but I'm glad to hear from you. [00:00:14] Speaker A: And how are you doing? [00:00:16] Speaker B: I'm doing well. I'm doing well. Just. I had taken some time off to take care of my mom. You know, a lot of people don't know how hard it is being a caregiver, but I'm a caregiver to my mom. I'm a worship pastor at church. So life has just been life, and as they say, yeah. But I'm just grateful to still be in a place to still do music and still get calls. So I'm still grateful to still do what I love the most, and that's music. [00:00:39] Speaker A: Absolutely. And I understand all about being a caregiver, and I used to say taking care of both of my parents, that I get to do it because it is an honor. Kudos to you for that. [00:00:51] Speaker B: Thank you. Thank you. I appreciate that. [00:00:53] Speaker A: Well, you're coming to the d, and I want to talk about that in just a few minutes. But you also have new music. [00:01:01] Speaker B: Yes, we do. We did a virtual concert back in the pandemic, and we did the actual video. We released the video, as most people did, virtual video content. And so many people kept asking us for the audio of it. So I said, hey, let's just release the audio. So we didn't do a whole lot of marketing and promotion for it. And then, like, maybe a week or two ago, my label was telling me that it's, like, at 2 million strings. Wow. So I don't even. I don't even know how, but I was just like, you know, God does all things well. We just took a virtual concert, put it out, and it's just a. You know, the things that's happened in my career has just all been just. It just happens, you know what I mean? There's never a lot of thought behind it. So I'm grateful that God just always breathes on a lot of the things that we do. [00:01:48] Speaker A: Absolutely. What's the name of the song? [00:01:50] Speaker B: The song is called Jesus reigns the lead on it. Her name is Tia Iskia. She sings with myself and the Kirk Carr singers. She's an amazing vocalist. And it's a virtual concert. We did no overdubs, no anything. We just kind of just did it and put it out, and people are just kind of gravitating towards it. So I'm grateful for that, our God rains. [00:02:12] Speaker C: Yes. Here. [00:02:16] Speaker A: That'S Jesus reigns. Charles Butler on the phone with me. And man, thank you so much for that song. Now I want to tell everybody about what's coming up this weekend. You're in town. [00:02:28] Speaker B: You're in the D. I am in the D. I always love being in the D. We're coming together myself to my brother, Sam Roberts and Larry Callahan, which everybody in the D knows. Larry Callahan. And so we're coming together and just kind of doing a free concert. We don't have anything behind it. We're just trying to do something to just do for the community of Detroit. And if you're available and you're free, come here. Some good singing. Larry has one of the best choirs. Sam Roberts has some great music. He also wrote my single make it, which was one of my biggest songs. And I'll be there with my singers as well. So if you have nothing to do on Saturday, meet us at Anderson Memorial. Yes, you are. [00:03:08] Speaker A: You are at historic Anderson Memorial Church. And you said the keyword, free 99. [00:03:14] Speaker B: Free 99. [00:03:16] Speaker C: Yep. [00:03:16] Speaker B: 399. So this, you know, we hope to have a great, great night of just coming together and just, you know, unifying. We're all from kind of different areas because fam, he relocated to Detroit and Larry is already there. So it's just going to be a good night of just fellowship and just good fun. [00:03:33] Speaker A: All three of you all have a place in my heart. I absolutely love it. And again, it's going to be live in Detroit at Anderson Memorial. And of course, that's on Joseph Campo in Detroit. Tomorrow evening starts at 05:00 free admission and you get a chance to see three of the most powerful voices that I know. Charles, thank you so much. How can we find you on social media? [00:03:59] Speaker B: I'm Charles Butler Junior on Instagram, Charles Butler, Trinity on Facebook and all the other platforms, pretty much. Charles Butler, Charles Butler and Trinity. So please reach out, connect and keep up with us. [00:04:13] Speaker A: Well, I am so grateful that I'm able to keep up with you. You know, we've been following each other for years, so I truly appreciate you and thank you so much for spending a little time with me today. [00:04:26] Speaker B: Thank you. Thank you for having me. I look forward to seeing you soon. Bye.
