[00:00:00] Speaker A: I told y', all, I have Pastor Mike Jr. On my show today. We doing a little mini takeover. How are you, sir?
[00:00:08] Speaker B: Hey, sis. I'm doing all right. I'm so glad to be here for everybody listening. I stopped everything I was doing. And your girl called. You gotta stop. I'm excited to be hanging with you.
[00:00:19] Speaker A: I am so grateful for that. You know, it's a lot going on with you right now. First of all, congratulations on the Stellars. My goodness, you broke all kinds of records, man.
[00:00:33] Speaker B: It's incredible. People have been asking me, like, you won a lot. What's the difference? This time I told them I've never won a Stellar Award. While it was Academy Voting. When I came into the gospel music industry, the Stella Awards were fan voting.
[00:00:46] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:00:47] Speaker B: Now that it's Academy voting, this is my first time ever winning, and a body of my peers voted for me, so it means the world. I was telling somebody yesterday, whether they know it or not, they see all.
They see all the number ones at the core, man. Most new artists just want to hear their heroes say they proud of them, you know? So it just means so much to know that the industry recognized all the hard work we were doing.
[00:01:10] Speaker A: I love that. And we're gonna talk about new music in just a few minutes. But I just have to let you know, my sister and I take frequent road trips. She lives in Atlanta, I'm in Detroit.
And so I'll either fly down there and we'll drive back or vice versa. And one Sunday, we decided to binge listen to Pastor Mike Jr. Your sermons, your church services, we even caught one live on the way up to Detroit.

[00:01:49] Speaker A: I just have to tell you how much your ministry has blessed both of us.
And I have to say that I have a bucket list of churches that I wanna visit, and yours is on the top of the list.
[00:02:04] Speaker B: Well, that. That just blew me away. Just tell Sister I said, when you guys decide to come, y' all hotel rooms on us, man. We're gonna make it a good weekend.
[00:02:13] Speaker A: Oh, my goodness. Thank you so much. I promise you she will send me sermons that I might have missed. And then I turn around and send her Stu may have missed. So we know your ministry is so strong. And on top of that, the music. And I absolutely love this for you.
[00:02:35] Speaker B: Yeah. Thank you so much. Thank you.
[00:02:37] Speaker A: Well, you have a new song out. It's called Turn it around.
And it's not the only new song because you're always coming up with something mostly from your sermons. Is this the same thing?
[00:02:51] Speaker B: Absolutely. Man, we just wonder. I always try to send messages of hope, you know, and right now, man, a lot of people are dealing with some difficulties. They got a lot going on in life. I had a lady stop me at a concert, she was like, pastor, just pray man I just need a turnaround and I wonder. I began to think about how many people are in that exact same situation. And so this song right here just states, it asks questions. Have you ever been down so long that you didn't know what to do? Have you ever prayed but it felt like your prayers didn't hit the roof? Be patient cause God's gonna turn it around I believe it's gonna bless your.

Every time you do something different, I don't know what to gravitate to first.
I love guys showing out. He don't play about me.
[00:05:42] Speaker B: That's my one right there. Like, let me tell you something. We told nobody. Tracy Artis was my radio rep, and I love Tracy. Me and Tracy were going back and forth. Do we go, God, God showing now to turn it around? God showing up, Turning around. And they were like, turn it around. But I'm gonna let you know, my favorite is God showing out.
[00:06:00] Speaker A: Yes. I actually posted a clip of it on my social media of something that happened for me, and I didn't think it was gonna happen. And so I keep saying in my head, showing out.
[00:06:11] Speaker B: He don't play about me.
[00:06:12] Speaker A: He don't play about me. I love it. I love it. I love it. I love it. Well, thank you so much for just hanging out with me a little bit today.

There was a man on the 10th floor of a building. Floors one through nine were engulfed in flames. He looked out the window, and the fire department yelled, jump.
That man died in fire because like so many of us, he was afraid of the problem, which was the fire, and jumping, which is the solution. And if you're going to be what God called you to be, this has to be the season that you jump. And you have to trust that God's going to catch you.
