Always a pleasure to be in your presence. [00:00:15] Speaker A: I am so excited for you. [00:00:17] Speaker B: Thank you so much. [00:00:18] Speaker A: You are having a milestone birthday. And with that milestone birthday, you are doing a live recording. [00:00:27] Speaker B: Yes. [00:00:28] Speaker A: Come on. Here we go again. Haven't you had enough of us? [00:00:34] Speaker B: Listen. No, not yet. Simon ain't finished yet. [00:00:39] Speaker A: I love it. I love it. Well, happy birthday ahead of your birthday. [00:00:43] Speaker B: Thank you so much. [00:00:44] Speaker A: And then on Friday, September 11, you will be having this great concert and recording at Triumph Church East Campus. And, man, is this gonna be great. We have one of your guests on the phone, Samaje, my nephew. How are you? [00:01:01] Speaker C: I'm doing good. How y' all doing on this beautiful day? Hi. [00:01:06] Speaker B: That part. [00:01:10] Speaker A: It's good to hear from you. I know you're doing some big things. Great new music out there right now. And what's it like going to be at this live recording with minister Faris G? [00:01:23] Speaker C: Oh, man. You know, and I'm always excited to be a part of great events and, you know, Farice is one of one, so I'm able to come and celebrate and witness his gift. He's such an amazing artist, such an amazing person, and I'm glad I'm able to come and share my little 2 cents on his amazing day. And I want to make sure that everybody get their tickets because we want to pack house. September 11th is the date y' all having y' all calendars that says this is Paris day. And we want to make sure that when he comes out and mount that podium, that that he's greeted with so many smiling faces, ready to receive what God has given him. So I'm excited about it. [00:01:56] Speaker A: I am excited, too. And Freese. Jeremiah. [00:02:00] Speaker B: Jeremiah. [00:02:01] Speaker A: And you got Akita Steen. [00:02:03] Speaker B: Akita Steen. [00:02:04] Speaker A: And the producers in here. Emmanuel Johnson. How are you? [00:02:08] Speaker C: Hi. [00:02:08] Speaker D: Great. How are you? [00:02:10] Speaker A: I am so good and glad that you're going to be a part of this as well. Tell me about the process of getting this kind of an event done. Ooh, loaded question. [00:02:24] Speaker D: Where do I begin? Lots of song searching, lots of writing, lots of creating. Also just a lot of praying. Yeah, you know, a lot of praying for guidance and direction. Freeze came to me actually maybe about two or three years ago and said he wanted to do a live recording, that he wanted me to produce it. [00:02:46] Speaker A: Okay. [00:02:46] Speaker D: And he has kept his word. Listen, when this man puts something up in the earth, you can guarantee it's gonna. [00:02:53] Speaker C: Oh, for sure. [00:02:53] Speaker D: He's a man of vision and a man of many gifts. Great heart, powerful testimony, and that's what you're gonna get on September 11th. [00:03:04] Speaker A: Oh, my goodness. This is gonna be such a great event. And also in the studio with me is Akita Steen from Akita Steen and Fire. Hey, how are you? [00:03:14] Speaker B: Pew, pew, pew, pew, pew. [00:03:17] Speaker E: I'm excited. I'm happy to be here. [00:03:20] Speaker A: I am so happy to see you in person. We keep missing each other. I'm a fan. [00:03:25] Speaker E: Oh, thank you. [00:03:27] Speaker A: So definitely excited for you to be along with Farese's event. 60 years old. [00:03:35] Speaker E: Yes. He don't even look like it. [00:03:36] Speaker A: No, of course not. [00:03:38] Speaker E: 60 wear. [00:03:40] Speaker A: What's so exciting is all the things that he's gone through, especially over the last few years and where he is now, and I'm not talking about you like you're not sitting right here across from me. How important this is. 60th birthday is for you. [00:03:57] Speaker B: Yes. Oh, man. I've suffered four strokes. [00:04:02] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:04:04] Speaker C: Wow. [00:04:04] Speaker B: Two this year. [00:04:05] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:04:05] Speaker B: In January. Almost paralyzed. When in a rehearsal that I was doing a show with with Lauren Harper, and I didn't know that I had a stroke, but I knew it felt like a stroke. Right. And so a friend of mine came to me, she said, listen, if you ever find yourself having a stroke or a heart attack, I'm assuming you this video. And the guy said, make yourself cough. So I couldn't remember when I was having a stroke, the video, but God said, Bertina. Bertina was the one that told me. [00:04:29] Speaker A: Oh, my gosh. [00:04:30] Speaker B: He just said Bertina. As soon as he said Bertina, I started making myself cough, and I just kept coughing, Kept coughing, and the symptoms were completely away. [00:04:37] Speaker D: Wow. [00:04:37] Speaker B: So God saved me. And so in that moment, I said, I gotta do a record behind this. [00:04:42] Speaker A: Yes. I remember you called me when that happened, and I was just so shocked that it happened again because we talked prior to this. So with that in mind, turning 60 is a double blessing. [00:04:57] Speaker B: Right. [00:04:57] Speaker A: You know, God showed his mercy and his grace. So this is going to be a lot of fun. And we're coming back with more with Farice G. Akita in the studio, Emmanuel in the studio talking about the Big 60 that's coming up on September 11th at Triumph Church, the East campus. Keep it here. [00:05:15] Speaker B: This is Farice G. Along with my sister Lillian Lloyd and my group Jeremiah. [00:05:20] Speaker A: That's breakthrough with minister and Jeremiah on the Detroit Praise Network featuring Lillian Lloyd. And we're in the studio talking about Pharisee's big 60. And Akeena Steen is in the studio as well. And you're gonna be on the show, too. [00:05:37] Speaker E: I am. [00:05:38] Speaker A: And what we gonna be stomping to [00:05:40] Speaker E: Do I have to tell it. Should I give it away? I know y' all love been good, so I know we gonna do Ben good. My cousin, he didn't. He told me, this is my favorite cousin. I know I'm a headache to him sometimes vice versa. But I'm the only one that can be a headache to him. [00:05:59] Speaker B: Yes. [00:06:02] Speaker A: Samaj can't be a headache. [00:06:06] Speaker B: Samaj ain't a headache. [00:06:07] Speaker C: He all right. [00:06:08] Speaker E: Neck and neck. I think I. [00:06:10] Speaker B: She's more. You know, this a diva right here. [00:06:14] Speaker A: I say that because everybody who is in your show is part of your family. [00:06:20] Speaker B: Is part of my family. [00:06:21] Speaker A: That's wild to me. [00:06:22] Speaker B: Yeah. I wanted to highlight that because everybody be thinking, like, if you call somebody else your kids. [00:06:27] Speaker E: I tell him that all the time. [00:06:28] Speaker B: You know what I'm saying? [00:06:29] Speaker E: I'll be like, okay, Paris. [00:06:30] Speaker B: And I'll be bringing her cousin. Cause she didn't know somebody was. Our cousin had explained her how. Cause Kavita be like, how is this person Ken to us? And I have to explain to her, this is how, you know, he's Ken or she's Ken. You know, like, I'm my producer. He's married to my cousin Erica. And so that's our cousin. You know what I'm saying? So everybody I try to include, even my cousins Garvin and Fat man, they're gonna be doing the vi. [00:06:59] Speaker E: That's awesome. [00:07:00] Speaker B: Steel guitar, lead guitar playing. Beautiful, right? Instruments of music that change their name. But they'll be doing the VIP playing soft music when people eating. And I'm trying to incorporate all my family because I want people to see, you know, we the Clock Brothers and Clock Sisters over here, too. You know what I'm saying? [00:07:18] Speaker C: Absolutely. [00:07:21] Speaker A: Here. Anyway, so I absolutely love this. Again, it's going to be on Friday, the 11th of September, and you have VIP tickets and also tickets for the live recording. How do they get a hold of those tickets? [00:07:38] Speaker B: Oh, you can get those tickets on either eventbrite by punching in. Big 60 at an event will come up God's World bookstore on West 7 Mile Road. Go over there and see Larry. You can get those tickets. There's two flyers going out, right? So I'm gonna address that right quick. Ticket prices went down. So you have the balcony seats for 25, and you have the main floor for $40. And then you have two VIP. Cause everybody like to bring a guest when they come. And so two VIPs is 150. And they get you dinner. Reserve seating in a gift bag. So that's my special on those. And you can, like I said, you can go to God's world eventbrite or either. If you know me personally, you can cash at me or zale me and just always put in use the code. [00:08:22] Speaker A: It's on your flyer too, by the way. [00:08:23] Speaker B: Yes, definitely on my flyer. And my host will be Darius Twyman. Scatman. Darius Twyman. [00:08:31] Speaker E: I love it. [00:08:32] Speaker B: Yes. [00:08:33] Speaker A: This is so much fun for you. I am so happy for you. [00:08:36] Speaker B: I'm excited. [00:08:37] Speaker A: I cannot wait till the whole project comes out so you can come back. [00:08:40] Speaker B: Yes. And we have something for every age group on this record. We got your seniors, we got your middle age. We got the new. We got. Oh, and don't forget Lillian Lloyd. [00:08:51] Speaker A: That's right. [00:08:52] Speaker E: Yes. [00:08:52] Speaker A: Another class. [00:08:53] Speaker B: Lloyd will be in the building. Everybody know Lillian Lloyd from either one More Chance. She sings with Ricky Dillard. For those listeners out there, I got the victory. [00:09:01] Speaker A: Yes. [00:09:02] Speaker B: So, yeah. [00:09:03] Speaker A: So I'm excited and I'm happy for you and I'm proud of you. [00:09:06] Speaker B: Yes. [00:09:07] Speaker A: And after this is all over, we're gonna have to see if our family tree matches up some. [00:09:13] Speaker E: Is she a cousin too? [00:09:14] Speaker C: Right, [00:09:17] Speaker B: Right. Yes. It's so many man of my cousins that's in this industry. It's crazy. And shout out to my group, Jeremiah. I have to shout them out. They're doing a wonderful job, you know, at me and him fussing at him. [00:09:36] Speaker A: It's only worth it. [00:09:37] Speaker B: On the one thing I like about Emmanuel. He's so detailed when it comes to the music and sound. The other day we was in rehearsal and he went through the rows and aisles and. You know what I'm saying. [00:09:48] Speaker E: Yeah. [00:09:49] Speaker B: Just to make sure. You know what I'm saying. He's very meticulous. He's speaking us about that style. Yeah. [00:09:55] Speaker E: You have to be. Especially with a live recording. [00:09:57] Speaker A: Yeah, for sure. [00:09:58] Speaker B: Got to be. So. [00:09:59] Speaker A: Well, Emmanuel, a key to also Samaje. I want to thank y' all for hanging out with me and for Reece. Oh, my goodness. [00:10:09] Speaker B: Yes. [00:10:10] Speaker A: You gotta call me after everything is over. [00:10:11] Speaker B: I will. I will definitely call you. Randy, thank you so much for having us and being a blessing to this gospel community over the years. You're such a blessing to us and we appreciate you. It's time for you an appreciation. Absolutely. [00:10:25] Speaker A: We can do that. [00:10:26] Speaker D: Yes. [00:10:27] Speaker B: So I'm gonna put that. Put that thing together. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. We gotta do something for. Thank you. Because you don't have to do it. Help us in our independent artists, but you do. So we appreciate you. Thank you so much.
