[00:00:00] Speaker A: I am on the phone with Todd Delaney, my brother, my friend. How are you?
[00:00:05] Speaker B: I'm good, Randy Miles.
[00:00:08] Speaker A: I'm glad you're good. Listen, last week I saw a press release about your brand new project that's coming out and we'll talk about that in just a second. And so I posted about it and talked about it on the air and now you're here to talk about it with me. So I get it firsthand, what is going on with this.
[00:00:30] Speaker B: I'm trying to just keep music before the people, Randy. And this time is the best of Todd Delaney. So it's promises the best of. And so we got 29 tracks. Gosh. And yeah, just a whole live worship experience that is going to take people in, I think. Way, way in.
[00:00:51] Speaker A: Okay, well, I know that we're already playing Proverbs 3 from the project and I also have you featured with Byron Cage.
[00:01:01] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, Y.
Look, I'm just making my rounds with the legends. All right.
I would have got one with Cece, Byron Cage, Bishop Hezekiah Walker.
[00:01:11] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:01:11] Speaker B: I mean, I would say next. I would. Me and Israel Holton, we gotta do something and then ty tribute. And I think that we would just take people on to heaven.
[00:01:21] Speaker A: Yeah, I think so. I think that we would have these, you know, swinging ladders that could take us up like a helicopter.
[00:01:28] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:01:31] Speaker A: Well, I know that it is a greatest hit project, but it also has new music like Proverbs 3. What else is spectacular? Because I know it is on that project.
[00:01:41] Speaker B: Oh, my goodness. So we got a moment on there where I called a random person out of the crowd to sing King of Glory and she killed it.
So I love that. And then that she made the record. I remember calling her and telling her, I said, hey, her name is Kristen Jones. I said, hey, Kristen, just want to, you know, I got to get your permission, but you're going to be on my next record. Boy, she just broke down crying and I, you know. Yeah, I thought that was really cool. And then we, of course, singing scripture, we're singing Opening up the Bible and singing Psalm 32. And that's a real powerful moment on there. It seriously, it is going to be my most powerful project ever. You know, the songs are familiar, but the power that's on it is different than anything I've ever released before.
[00:02:27] Speaker A: It's back to back, great songs. So you could do a road trip.
[00:02:31] Speaker B: Yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah, look, 29 tracks. I should be on the road for a long time.
[00:02:38] Speaker A: Well, let's listen to Proverbs 3 and come right back. It's Todd Delaney on the Detroit Brace Network.
[00:02:44] Speaker B: Say, write them on out.
[00:02:49] Speaker A: I will, I will.
On the phone with Todd Delaney. Man, that is Proverbs 3. I love, love your whole singing from the Bible.
[00:02:58] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:03:00] Speaker A: And where did that start?
[00:03:01] Speaker B: So my pastor is Pastor Bill Winston, and he is big time.
Don't even say what you think say what he said. Don't even pray what you think Pray what he said don't teach what you think Teach what he said. So he is like, anti people expressing themselves in the kingdom of God. Don't even worry because he says, because your feelings change by the day. But his words stay, stays the same. And so I just kind of got to the place where I'm like, I don't want to sing my emotions. I want to sing what God has said, because I know he has to get behind that and support me.
[00:03:38] Speaker A: I love it. Oh, my goodness. I love it. Well, I also understand that you have a new partnership with Fair Trade.
[00:03:46] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. New label partnership with Fair Trade. And then my own record label is now a real thing, Delaney Land Music. And so it's my first time being really independent. Independent, where I'm kind of funding everything and owning everything and. And Fair Trade has done a good job of coming alongside me and. And handling the distribution. And so this is my first, but it will not be my last. And I'm kind of loving, you know, Randy, being an owner.
[00:04:14] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:04:15] Speaker B: And taking the lion's share as. Whereas before, I was just trying to get my foot in the door and, you know, really the industry kind of was just, you know, eating up everything. But this time it's, you know. Yeah, it'll be for my children's children.
[00:04:26] Speaker A: Ah, man. That's what it's all about.
And where can they find Todd Delaney?
[00:04:31] Speaker B: Oh, going over to Todd Delaneyland.com and that'll let you know where I'm gonna be as well as, you know, Instagram, wherever the blue check is. I handle my own Instagram, so don't come on there talking crazy, because I will talk back.
[00:04:45] Speaker A: Yes, you will. Yes, you will. I seen him do it.
Yeah.
That's awesome. Thank you so much.
[00:04:55] Speaker B: Oh, thank you always, Randy. You always look out for me.
