Take Control: Turning Chaos Into Opportunities

[00:00:00] Speaker A: It is Take Control Tuesday. And today I'm talking to Mansa Musa Mansa. I read somewhere that when people get their Social Security by check, that is going to stop and everything is going to be digital. There are a lot of changes going on right now and this is the time that we need to talk about how are we going to manage through all the madness that we're going through right now. [00:00:28] Speaker B: Right. As of September 30, 2025, there will be no more federal paper checks issued. So there are several alternative ways to receive federal payments and people should research those. They're all over the Internet right now. But listen, let's talk about other changes and that is that the world financial system has fundamentally changed, Randy. The post World War II financial order has been broken. [00:01:04] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:01:05] Speaker B: And it cannot be put back together the way it was. So what do we do about that? I mean, those are fundamental facts. Now, one of the things the Bible tells us is there's a time and season for everything under heaven. And here's the thing about a season change, Randy. It doesn't matter what your opinion is. It doesn't matter in the fall that you don't want it to be winter. Winter is coming and you either prepare for it or you may perish from it. The same is true when it comes to other changes. And we're talking about a fundamental change in the world economic order. And more importantly, how are you as an individual and as a community, as a body of believers, going to respond to it? [00:02:04] Speaker A: Yes. [00:02:05] Speaker B: So there's a saying that crisis presents both dangers and opportunities. So I think we should start looking for opportunities in chaos. [00:02:20] Speaker A: Yes. [00:02:20] Speaker B: Change our thinking as a person thinketh. So they are. We've got to change our thinking, start looking for opportunities. Now here's one final thing that I'll say. Our time is short here. A lot of times what your opportunities are, what your thinking is, how you're going to overcome the situation depends on your time horizon. How much time do you have? Are we talking about if you are 75 years or older, you have a relatively short time horizon that you have to deal with. If you are 30 years or older, you have a longer time horizon. The world's going to be different in 50 years than it is in 10. [00:03:16] Speaker A: That's true. [00:03:16] Speaker B: Your plan has to be different. And finally, Randy, I would encourage many people, and I'm sure this is true of parents and grandparents, that your time horizon be generational. What are you leaving for your legacy for your children and grandchildren? That's where entrepreneurship and those kind of things come into play. That's all the time we have today.
