Harry Lennix and also the voice of Pharisee in the all-black cast of voices for the audio Bible “Inspired By … The Bible Experience,” saw the original play as an Easter performance at
Dr. Holly Carter’s church. During that time, Lennix also had an idea of Jesus being portrayed as a more 21
st century person. And as Mali Music says, “together – along with the spirit of God – [they] came up with something beautiful.”

Kevin Yarbrough who played the role of Thomas, T'Keyah Crystal Keymáh as "Rebah” and Chaka Kahn who let loose with in true
Chaka Kahn form with the song, “This Ends Today.”
