When Apostle Danielle Williams-McCord sat down with me, I knew we had a powerful story to share. But I wasn’t prepared for the depth of her testimony and the way God has turned her pain into purpose. Introduced to me by Willie Moore Jr., Danielle recently moved to Detroit after spending time in California and Atlanta. She believes God brought her to the Motor City for a reason, and she’s already getting to work. Danielle describes her journey as going “from porn to the pulpit.” Her story includes childhood abuse, unimaginable loss, addiction and years of making decisions shaped by deep […]

[00:00:00] Speaker A: I am so honored to have this sister in the studio with me. It's APostle Danielle Williams McCord. [00:00:07] Speaker B: How are you? I'm doing well. Thank you for having me. [00:00:10] Speaker A: I'm so glad you're here. Willie Moore Jr introduced us. [00:00:13] Speaker B: Willie Moore Jr introduced us. Shout out to him. [00:00:18] Speaker A: And he said that, you know, she's been down here in Atlanta and now she lives in Detroit. And I'm like, what? [00:00:25] Speaker B: And [00:00:28] Speaker A: absolutely how this happened for you? [00:00:30] Speaker B: You know what, this one of those moments where you just had to obey God. You literally had to obey God. I started in California, made my way to Atlanta, and now I'm in the Motor City. [00:00:41] Speaker A: You are in the Motor City. You have quite the testimony and I want to talk about that. And then something very special that's happening this weekend that you're doing as a result of that basic thing. [00:00:53] Speaker B: Absolutely. [00:00:54] Speaker A: So. So what's your testimony? [00:00:56] Speaker B: Well, you know, I always tell people, they see you on the other side preaching, praying and prophesying. But there was a story before you got there. And my story was literally from porn to the pulpit. That's where the Lord snatched me out of. I started stripping at 14 years old. I got into the porn industry at 18 years old in Los Angeles, California. And a lot of times people hear that and they automatically get this disdain. They automatically, you know, put you in this box and start judging you. But I always tell people there's a story and a reason why people make certain decisions. So before I ever was a stripper or a porn star, I was a little girl. [00:01:30] Speaker A: Yeah, you were. [00:01:31] Speaker B: And I was a little girl who was molested at 8 years old by my babysitter son. A little girl who had a father that was mentally ill. He was bipolar and schizophrenic. And my dad tried to kill me when I was 10 years old. Wow. Tried to drown me in a bathtub. Two years later, I'm 12. One of the neighbors, family, friends, uncle so and so invited me into his home. Somebody I trusted raped me when I was 12. I end up meeting a 27 year old pimp when I was 13 and was intimate one time, got pregnant at 13 years old. My son ended up dying in my arms and something in me died that night as well. So I ran away from home. Before I know it, I was in strip clubs at 14. I thank God for my grandparents because they gave me Jesus. [00:02:15] Speaker A: Come on. [00:02:16] Speaker B: I got some Southern Baptist grandparents from Birmingham, Alabama, and they were like, if you gonna be in my house, you gonna go to church and miss Randy. I was in church all day, every day. [00:02:26] Speaker A: You were. [00:02:26] Speaker B: Felt like did it all. I was in church all day, every day. And if I was gonna be in Ch much, I said, at least I can do something that I enjoyed. And at that time, I used to love to sing. So I end up joining a youth choir. And unfortunately, my choir member from my church introduced me to prostitution. [00:02:43] Speaker A: Oh, wow. [00:02:44] Speaker B: At 15 years old, not only did my choir member introduce me to prostitution, she also introduced me to drugs. So from 15, 16, 17, I was prostituting, selling dope, doing dope. I was an alcoholic, and I was stripping. All based upon my. My choir member. Wow. Yes, wow. Absolutely. 18 years old, jumped right off the porch into the porn industry and did that. I was one of those video vixens. I was in rap videos, magazines. I traveled the world with celebrities and things like that. Ended up in New York with a man at 19 years old. And this man kidnapped me. He beat me, he raped me, he chanted voodoo over me, told me he was going to kill me, but because I was a hypocrisian. [00:03:27] Speaker A: O, come on. [00:03:27] Speaker B: Okay, a hypocrisian. [00:03:29] Speaker A: You. [00:03:29] Speaker B: You play church, but your lifestyle is a lot different from that. And so I. I always had Jesus because my grandparents. But my lifestyle was very alternative to what his word said. But I thank God for the hypocrisian, because even though they may be playing church or living a double lifestyle, those seeds were still being planted. [00:03:48] Speaker A: Yes, absolutely. [00:03:49] Speaker B: And so while I was in that basement, I prayed like I never prayed before. And I said, lord, if you get me out of this, I'll change my life for you. Just don't let me die, Jesus. Couple of days later, that man's friend came to that basement, for whatever reason got me out. I flew out of New York and went back to la and I never looked back again. [00:04:06] Speaker A: Yes. Come on. [00:04:08] Speaker B: And a whole testimony and ministry was birthed out of there. [00:04:12] Speaker A: Yes. In the studio with APostle Danielle Williams McCord. And she's having a very special revival, the Sound of the Survivor. It's coming up on Saturday starting at 6pm we're going to talk all about it. But before that, we shared your testimony. And I can see where this is leading for you because there are so many people that are broken. [00:04:35] Speaker B: Absolutely. [00:04:36] Speaker A: And think that that's it for them. [00:04:38] Speaker B: Absolutely. [00:04:39] Speaker A: And so you were called by the Lord to come to Detroit, and when I got in contact with you, you were like, I'm having a revival. [00:04:47] Speaker B: Yes, ma'. Am. [00:04:48] Speaker A: You came in. You just been here 30 days. [00:04:51] Speaker B: Yes. I told Lord if you sending me there, I'm not fn to. I got work to do. [00:04:56] Speaker A: You have work to do. [00:04:57] Speaker B: Yes, ma'. [00:04:57] Speaker A: Am. And you do. [00:04:58] Speaker B: Yes, you do. [00:04:59] Speaker A: And I'm so excited because you're doing something on the 31st, and it's called the sound of the Survivor. [00:05:08] Speaker B: Yes, ma'. Am. [00:05:10] Speaker A: That's giving me chills. [00:05:12] Speaker B: Yes, ma'. Am. I wanted those. Well, first of all, it's a twofold thing. Like, I'm not your average churchy preacher. I don't look like a preacher. Sometimes I don't sound like one because the cause God told me not to change. Don't forget your testimony. I'm not calling you to the religious. I'm calling you to the rejects. [00:05:29] Speaker A: Come on. [00:05:29] Speaker B: And so sometimes you gotta not just give them a Bible. You gotta be the Bible, you know? And so I wanted to give those who felt like they had no hope or they were too far gone. I wanted to give them hope and. And some type of faith and. And just a redirection to show you that if God saved me, he's able to save you. I was in the worst of the worst, and I. It's not many people who have went as far as I went, and yet God saw fit to use a broken crayon to color there. [00:05:57] Speaker A: Still color. [00:05:57] Speaker B: And so I wanted to come to Detroit for the dope dealer. I wanted to come to Detroit for the prostitute. I wanted to come to Detroit for those who are bound by witchcraft and tell them that the same God that saved a little girl out of Compton that was swinging from polls and selling doping, addicted to alcohol, and raised me up to be a prophetess, a. An apostle, a worker of. Of the. The kingdom. I wanted them to know that if he did that for me, he can do that for them as well. I also wanted to give those who have always been in a storm and trials and tribulations, I wanted them to know what it sounded like to survive it. Because it's one thing to praise out of pain and to travail because you're broken. Yes, but what does it sound like when you survived it? [00:06:43] Speaker A: You gonna make me run right out the studio and come back with my bad hip? [00:06:49] Speaker B: What does it sound like once you survive when the devil didn't win, when the devil didn't destroy. [00:06:55] Speaker A: I love this. And you're gonna do this on Halloween, so it's gonna be a lot. Oh, yes, ma'. Am. [00:07:02] Speaker B: Oh, yes, ma'. Am. Yes, ma'. Am. We are going to be at the Detroit Hope center, and that's 17220 Kelly Road in Detroit, Michigan on Halloween at 6pm I need everybody, everybody, Lady Daddy, everybody to be in the building. Men, women, boys and girls, especially parents who have teenagers because the devil don't discriminate. Not an age requirement for the enemy to come after our children and after our generation. And so I want them to come. It is free. We going to feed you spiritually and naturally we're going to have some food. [00:07:39] Speaker A: Food is always good. [00:07:40] Speaker B: Some refreshments and it is free to the community. [00:07:43] Speaker A: Oh, I love that. [00:07:44] Speaker B: Yes, ma'. [00:07:44] Speaker A: Am. I am so glad that Willie Mo Jr. Introduced us. Oh man. I have a new friend, y'. All. [00:07:52] Speaker B: Yes, [00:07:55] Speaker A: APostle Danielle Williams McCord. And it is the revival, the sound of the survivor. And what I love about this, it says that it's more than a testimony, it's a sound. I'm going to put this up on our website. Oh, I would love. So that we can make sure that people can go back to it. And how do they find out more about you? [00:08:17] Speaker B: You can type in my name on Google. I'm Googleable. Ms. Randy, you have a book too. I have three books. I have, I writ. I written my first book from porn to the Pulpit which is self explanatory where God brought me out. I wrote a second book called Baron for those who are spiritually and naturally infertile. The doctors told me I would never have a child and the Lord blessed me with my miracle baby. Yes. So I wrote Baron and then my last book was called Preaching in Pain. Cuz I want you to know, just cuz you give them a yes, that doesn't mean everything becomes perfect. [00:08:48] Speaker A: Amen. [00:08:48] Speaker B: You still got to fight for it. [00:08:50] Speaker A: I. I'm a testimony right here in this chair. So I get it. [00:08:53] Speaker B: Absolutely. So they can find me on social media. Danielle Williams McCord On Facebook, Minister Danny on Instagram, Tik Tok. My website is dw wmministries.org as well. [00:09:04] Speaker A: All right, thank you so much for stopping by. [00:09:07] Speaker B: Thank you for having me.
