Show Notes

DRK2LGHT, comprised of Washington, D.C. Metropolitan (DMV) natives Javon Inman, Rob Mercer, and CD Porter, was officially formed in 2019. DRK2LGHT also utilizes its social media influence by posting weekly online men’s devotionals entitled “Man 2 Man” as well as general lighthearted and spirited social media content and music covers.

I had the opportunity to chat with DRK2LGHT about their release “St. Jude Strong.” They penned this song after an overwhelming inspiration by the message of St. Jude’s founder, Danny Thomas “no child should die in the dawn of life.”

DRK2LGHT say that, “St. Jude Strong is anthem of hope, belief, and miracles. We hope that every parent and child through our love and treasure know the blessing of a miracle is on the way.”

“St. Jude Strong” will be available on all digital music platforms on March 3, 2022 with proceeds going to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
