Tyscot Records and Entertainment began in 1976 so that Dr. Leonard Scott (Founder and CEO) could record their church choir, Christ Church Apostolic Radio Choir. Today, Tyscot is the oldest Black-owned Gospel recording label in the nation and label home for the likes of the Rance Allen Group, Anthony Brown & Group TherAPy, Casey J, Lonnie Hunter and more.
Not bad for a company that initially operated from offices of Dr. Scott’s dental practice huh?
