Cynthia Williams: Honoring Son’s Memory & Helping Students In School [[Interview & Video]]

When I first met Cynthia Williams, I felt like I’ve known her forever. She has such a sweet spirit which totally comes across as approachable and peaceful. But it was because of her newest CD project that we happened to meet and I’m so glad we did. Cynthia has what she says is, “her truth is being told” through the lyrics of each song she sings.

No stranger to gospel music or singing, Cynthia began by singing in church and school choirs at an early age. She is a long-time member of GMWA participating in both, her residing local chapters and national. Her first recording was with Pastor C.L. Fairchild and the Voices of Greater Faith in a duet with Fairchild on “He Brought Joy” which received national radio airplay. Williams’ freshman CD project, “Blessed Speechless”, was produced by Grammy-Award nominee Kevin J. Yancy and Richard Gibbs Sr.; with a theme centering around the goodness and mercy of God. Her newest project, “Surrendering Completely”, produced by Floyd “Timeless” Thomas was released in November 2013. Its messages focuses on surrendering everything to God, trusting His will and allowing it to unfold even when we don’t understand it.
