[00:00:00] Speaker A: Oh, my goodness. I am on the phone with my sister, my friend Isabel Davis. How are you?
[00:00:07] Speaker B: Oh, I'm doing so good, Randy Miles. It is always a joy and a blessing to just sit and talk with you. And I'm looking forward to doing it again today. Just like we're on the couch. Just too old.
[00:00:17] Speaker A: I can't wait till we are.
[00:00:20] Speaker B: I know, right? I can't wait till we really are.
[00:00:24] Speaker A: We gotta do that soon.
[00:00:25] Speaker B: Thank you. Yes, we do.
[00:00:27] Speaker A: Well, you are called the traveling worshiper. And one of the reasons why I know that you are a traveling worshiper, because you create that presence of Jesus wherever you are. It can be a church. It could be at a Buc EE's anywhere around the world. When you open your mouth, you're bringing in the presence of God.
[00:00:52] Speaker B: Praise God. Yes. And, you know, for me, it's so important. I feel like the, you know, just carrying this mantle of worship and this calling, this assignment is so sacred to me. And I feel like. I mean, I don't. I don't take it lightly at all. I take my calling very seriously. And so when a door opens up and there's an opportunity to introduce people to Jesus, or, you know, maybe they already know Christ, just bringing them in together, unifying a room, and drawing them to the feet of Jesus corporately, to me, it is such an honor and such a joy. And so I. Again, I never take those moments lightly. Like you said, whether It's a Buc Ees or a fast food restaurant, a church, a sanctuary, a platform where it's a radio promo event, or for me, it's the same. It's God. Move for your people in this moment, in this room, in this space, and do for them what only you can do.
And so that's my heart's posture everywhere I go.
[00:01:50] Speaker A: Absolutely. And the key word you said was sacred.
I can remember when I first met you and the call was out and I saw you perform it, and I'm like, oh, my goodness, this sister.
You know, you just want to lay down on the floor and just worship.
And so I, you know, I felt that thing. And then I got a chance to meet you, and I'm like, oh, okay, I get it.
[00:02:17] Speaker B: Yeah. Oh, we had a good time when we first.
[00:02:20] Speaker A: I know you know, for sure. And the same thing with Jesus. We love you. And my favorite, why does the sky. That song still takes. Oh, my goodness. My goodness. I love it. I absolutely love it.
[00:02:33] Speaker B: But there's such a theme there, Randy. You know, like for, you know, those creatives and the worship leaders, especially in today's world and climate. I just feel like we need to be reminded of the power of Jesus, of the power of the name of Jesus. There's such authority in it. And I think that just watching life, life, we can forget. You know what I mean? And so songs like Jesus, we love you, songs like White as the sky, Jesus take your place, you know, these are those reminders that God, his presence, his power is still real and alive and it's still working today. So I love the singable songs that, you know, the little ones can join in, our grandparents can join in, and everyone in between, you know. And so I'm just honored and thankful that God has allowed me to, you know, share songs with the body of Christ, introduce songs to the body of Christ that are really just these faith declarations and faith anthems and songs that just remind us of the why.
[00:03:32] Speaker A: Speaking of the why, you have a new song out, you recently released. It's called Jesus Yeshua. And tell me a bit about that.
[00:03:42] Speaker B: Absolutely, yes. So this song. Oh, Randy, again, this song is simply a reminder. It's a song that really just celebrates the faithfulness of Jesus to respond to us when we call on his name, you know. And so in this song, every lyric just testifies that no cry goes unheard. You know, we call on the name of the Lord. Sometimes it's a whisper, it's whispered in weakness. Other times we're shouting his name out in desperation.
But at the end of the day, his name brings the same thing. A timely answer, perfect peace, and powerful rescue. And so what I love about this song, it's not just a reminder, but it's also that test testimony that reminds us that Jesus still rescues. He responds. He shows up when we call on his name. And I love how Romans 10:13 tells us, for everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. This is the promise that we have for the unbeliever. That speaks to salvation, that speaks to eternity. Regardless of your background, it says you will be saved, Right? But what I love about it, it doesn't just speak to salvation and eternity. It speaks to the now that whatever circumstance we're in now that you can call on him in moment. I'm reminded of a time my mom and I were in the car driving. I was a really little girl, and I shared this couple weeks ago on Instagram and we were driving somewhere in the rain and we were coming down this overpass when the driver in front of us slammed on the brakes out of Nowhere. We had no time to try to match it or do anything. I just remember my mom gripping the steering wheel and at the top of her lungs, twice she screamed, jesus, Jesus. Like a prayer of desperation. And I'll never forget, Randy. We went into a spin.
We're in one of those big old. I call them a boat of a Cadillac, throw up, green colored Cadillac.
Those cars that were like all steel, if you remember, right. Metal. And I remember we didn't hit a single car. We hit the barricades. Yes. And by the time the car finished spinning, which felt like an eternity, I'm sure it was only maybe seconds. We were facing oncoming traffic. We were looking at each other, we were shaken up, but neither of us were injured or hurt. Not a bump, not a scratch. And we walked away from that moment going, it's because of the power that's in the name of Jesus. I'm getting. I'm getting stirred up. And that's. Yeah, this is the promise. And it's generational, you know, the same God that my mom cried out to, the same name I'm calling on for my babies, for my family, you know, because it's still powerful. The name of Jesus is powerful.
[00:06:15] Speaker A: That is Isabel Davis. The name of the song, Jesus Yeshua.
And I'm not gonna run through the studio. Well, maybe I may a little bit run through the studio.
[00:06:26] Speaker B: Take you a lap.
[00:06:27] Speaker A: Yes, especially for you. Because I tell you what, I love your music, I love your presence.
I love you. On social media, we crack up at your everyday life. By the way, how's your family?
[00:06:40] Speaker B: The family is doing amazing. You know, the kids are growing up so fast. I have a teenager now. You know, our baby girl in the middle, she's a cheerleader now. Both of my youngest are in choir. My oldest is in debate and speech. And so life is life and we are doing great. You know, I'm enjoying being mama. I'm enjoying having the help of my amazing husband.
And, you know, just getting to do what God's called me to do in every area is so fulfilling. So I'm happy. I can't complain at all.
[00:07:07] Speaker A: No, it is such a blessing. It's a blessing to watch you on. On social media. I crack up at some of the stuff that happens to you, though.
My goodness. From delivering to Salvation army to groceries. It's good to see everyday life.
[00:07:26] Speaker B: Yes. I mean, because the majority of life is spent in those moments, you know what I mean? And it's just about bringing God into every single situation, you know, because the stage is just one small aspect of it. But you gotta allow people to see, you know, that you're a person too, you know, and we go through the same little challenges and things that everyday moms and everyday people go through. So I think it's. It's fun to just incorporate some of that into socials as well, so people can see a glimpse of, you know, all the things.
[00:07:55] Speaker A: Absolutely all the things. Well, Jesus Yeshua is available now.
[00:08:00] Speaker B: Yes, it's available now on all streaming platforms, even, of course, you know, I love a good extended version of the song, so you can find that right over at my YouTube channel, I am Isabel Davis.
